Restoring to the original exterior color to dark green metallic (paint code 57). The area between the trunk and rear bumper should be black...correct?

Is there a paint code for this black? Is it a flat or glossy?

On SS396's it's semi-gloss black between the moldings. All others it's body color.

You know it's amazing at how many people over look this little thing of painting the car in this area with the black. I see it all the time where they just spray it body color. I still wonder why GM did it this way?

just got back from been there done that haha. Its semi-gloss black.

Thanks, I really don't understand why GM did this little combo, but it is what it is. I'll be using the semi-gloss black.
