I'm doing a ground up on my 1969 Chevelle SS 396, and we used all new parts in the front end around the grill area, and there was a lot of trouble fit wise.... did anyone else have this same problem for a 68-69 chevelle?
Oh, and the frame was bent 3/4" too. But our body man said that didnt have anything to do with it. Anyone else with the same problems?

I agree with Martin Sr. After comparing the cost of Re-anodizing my '63 nova ss conv trim to the cost of new repros, I tried to go cheap with the repros... didn't match the body lines and factory trim holes too well. Now I'm patiently waiting (6 weeks and counting) for my original trim to come back from the plater. I'm just starting my '65 chevelle conv, and will re-use/restore original parts as much as possible.

Well the problem was, when we bought the car, it was basically a car that someone started a frame-off resto on, and then put the body back on after doing all the framework. so we didnt really get any front end pieces except for some bent up fenders and an OK bumper... so we HAD to use repro parts in this situation, although we had almost all the stainless steel so we just had it polished up and used that and it fit WAY better than repro.
