: Small Tear: Best Fix?

I've got a very small straight tear in my convertible top. I figure if I put some tape or patch behind it, it would hardly show at all. What's the best solution?

I saw a "tarp" tape that sounded like it might be a good fix (waterproof, permanent). Any other ideas?

Anybody? Duct tape?

I have a very small tear on my top, and I used black duct tape on the inside. It is just below the stainless trim around the top opening, on the side, so even when the top is up you can't see it. My car seldom gets wet, so I wasn't concerned about it being real waterproof. Still have the original top...trying to have it hold on another 36 years :)

Good ol' Duct tape. Thanks Bill. I think I'll try either the tarp tape, or call an upholster shop for suggestions.

Call a good top shop. They can probably repair it.
