I have a 65 Chevelle SS / 327 somewhat built up. (headers, exhaust, intake etc...) nothing radical.
It has 12 bolts securing the cover.

The rear end has these numbers on it.

CX1202B 385914ON

GM3 3
K194-

I know it's not posi.
I would like to make it posi sometime soon.
With the different discussions on the pumpkin size etc... I'm somwhat confused on what to do with what I got.

Any ideas on what I've got back there??

Thanks,
Jack

Ceck the '65 index for diff #.
http://chevelles.com/years/66/66rearcodes.htm
But I think it will decode to:
Dec 2nd day, buffalo, 3.07 12 bolt, non-posi.

Thanks for the info and link.

3.07, I'll have to change that and to a posi unit.
I need to figure out what is the best gear ratio to go do back there. And figure out which posi unit works best. Seems to be some debate about different units...

Thanks,
jack
