Mike,I am getting the stuff together for my retro big block roller hyd cam setup.I got one of those cam buttons with the roller tip.Do I need to use one of those cam bolt retainer plates to hold it in the cam?I allready have a set of arp cam bolts and if I need the retainer plate can it be bought seperately? Thanks Bill.

well I'm not wolfplace but the roller button fits in the center of the cam timing gear, there should only be like .0008 clearance between the timing cover and the button, so it will pretty much be riding on the cover the entire time. The cam bolt retaining plate might hold it in too, but the thing is pretty much sandwiched in there anyway

Not a necessity but a good idea as it also locks the bolts.
Yes they are available separately but almost all the kits come with bolts & are real cheap like $4-$5 or so.
