Does anyone know whether or not the circuit copper can be repaired? I was thinking of laying a thin piece of aluminum foil over the two pieces of copper that are broken and glueing them??? Any suggestions?

I'd solder a jumper wire across the break, just be careful not to melt the adjacent traces away from the plastic.
