Hi, Does anyone know what the metal ready is suppose to look like when it's washed off and drys up fully. Maybe I didn't wash it all off, but mine looks like it turned the metal gold in some spots and it has some white on it too. Is that what it's suppose to look like? thanks for the help. Eric

yes this is what it is suppose to look like, it etches the metal

Yep, white "residue" is what I had after using metal ready too. I second the thoughts on not worrying about the flash rust.

In fact the tech guys at resto motive say that POR actually likes rust coated surfaces better. The metal ready is primarily for bare metal. I wasnt sure, so I used it on everything.
