I'm not properly acquainted with the electrics of my car, so I'm going to get a mechanic to install the headlight switch. How much should I expect to pay? I'm supplying the switch. Also, The actual pull device has come out of the current switch, does the one I ordered come with that part?

thanks

The shaft and knob does not come with the switch. You will need to use the old one.
You should be able to obtain to obtain a new switch from the auto parts store.
If the shaft and knob have broken out of the switch, the switch is fairly easy to change.
1, Disconnect negative battery cable.
2, With a screwdriver or long nose pliers, unscrew the nut holding the switch to the dash.
3, Lower the switch down and unplug the connector.
4, Plug in the new connector.
5, When installing the new switch back into the dash, be sure to put it through the ring and wire behind the dash. It may have fell down when you first dropped the switch down.
6, Tighten up the mount nut, pop in the shaft, and reconnect the cable.
Around here it will probably cost me over $40.00 to get this done.
