The bed of my El Camino is done, all but the BC/CC . Meaning that I sanded it down to bare metal,DP 90 (black) Epoxy Primed, then did my filler work (dings only) , then NCP 271 Primer Surfacer. Today I masked off the bed area with masking paper,to cover up and keep from getting dust and debris in the bed area . I also today took a DA with 180 grit 6" disc and went over the left rear quarter lightly to give the POR-Stripper something to bite into. I found an area that had bondo in a 10"x6" area approx.I used stripper on the area at least 8 or 10 times and its still pretty thick, must be a dent?? The rest of the area is mostly down to the bare metal. I scraped it off and put everything away until tommorrow. My Questions are these: Tommorrow when I go back out to the garage, can I just wash off the entire area with water and a scotchbrite pad
where I used any stripper and then let that dry and then DA the rest down to bare metal ?? What is the best way to neutralize the stripper ?? (doesnt say on the can of POR-STRIP) I assume with water and a scotchbrite pad. Any what is the best grit 6"sanding disc to use on a DA to take the paint down to bare metal ?? 80 grit ??
