I recently bought a 71 chevelle malibu 350. I've had auto 1&2 so far in high school, but i still require a lot of assistance. i've hit a snag in the repairing process. The previous owner removed the vacuum lines. Does anybody have a diagram that can show me where to hook the new ones up? thanks!

Maybe your Public Library might have some old, Motor, Chiltons or Mitchell Motor Manuals that may have the diagrams in them??

Worth a try if your Library is big enough to have a decent Automotive book section in it??

Ours has a bunch of them and I look through them periodically too..

i already checked. Our local library is really small. They only have Chiltons, and they don't go any older than 1980. Thanks for tryin to help though :)

Your local auto parts store like checker or autozone should have chilton books.

are you restoring the car? or just getting it running? if it's just to get it running there is only like 4 or 5 lines to worry about.
1 carb to vacuum can on the dist.
2vacuum fitting on the manifold to the module on the tranny if so equipped
3 PCV from valve cover to the front of carb or side of intake under carb
4 vacuum to the power brakes
5vacuum to the vacuum can for the heater and duct controls
6vacuum to the charcoal canister goes to the full time vacuum port on the carb i think.
that should be it hope this helps a little, Jim
