Mr.McFast Feb 20th, 03, 10:10 PM on my 69 chevelle i have a problem on my dash the metal part towards the seam of the windsheild its rusted up how would i repair it take out the windsheild and sand itout because i think the rust is deap other than surface rust what do u think i should do? Joe fastss396man Feb 21st, 03, 12:16 AM Joe, You first need to remove the windsheild and look to see exactly how bad the rust is. It may require cutting out the rust and welding new sheet metal in. And a word of caution don't think you can just sandblast and finish with body filler as this is not recommended for safety reasons. You need to go to the Internet and find desertdogs.com they have an exstensive line of RUST FREE CARS that can donor this area for you (w/pics) Then find a good BUDDY that can help you with cutting and welding this area for you.
