I am at the point now with restoring my 68 ss convertible of aligning body panels and marking things out. One stumbling block I have encountered is the position of my rear antenna mount. The rear passenger side quarter was replaced so there is no hole in the new one and I was not smart enough to take measurements from the old one before it was discarded. Can anyone help me out with this? Also any additional tips, with ligning thins up would be greatly appreciated. P.S I am using the aluminum body moldings with the aluminum wheel moldings which don't seem to match (the thickness of the wheel well moldings make the body moldings to long. Is there a compatible after market kit for each or do I have to shorten the affected body moldings?

I have the original quarters and the factory rear antenna. The center of the hole is 2&1/4 inches from the trunk opening, and 7&3/8 from where the tail light housing meets the quarter..
Now I'm not 100% sure what your asking with your 2nd question but the 68 Chevelle's didn't have wheel opening moldings...

I would think they are the same, but to be sure someone with a conv. will have to measure theirs...
