I just bought a 20lb Pressure Blaster from Harbor Freight this last week, however after getting it all put together I noticed a few things wrong with it.

1. All the valves were labeled wrong, so "on" was "off" and vice versa. Made in China, kinda figures.

2. Didn't come with the filter like the guy told me it did.

3. No wheels made it difficult to move around, especially with 20lbs of sand it it.

So, I decided to take it back and get the larger 40lb unit made by Central Pneumatic. The price for that one is normally $129.00 but I had noticed it for $79.00 on their website. Also, I had a 20% off coupon that could be used on any sale item. So they price matched the $79.00 internet price and added the 20% off which brought the price down to $63.00 for a $130.00 blaster. What a DEAL!!!.

Just got it home tonight and put it all together and I can say the 40lb unit is much nicer. It comes with the wheels, pressure gauge, air dryer, more flexible hose, and valves that labeled correcly. Bad thing was the blaster hood was smashed to pieces. I would highly recommend this unit over the cheaper 20lb version.

I also bought one of these a few years ago, my only gripe is you have to go thru them to get replacement nozzles. other than that, I give it :beers:

I bought a chicago electric mig welder from harbor freight.... POS, made in china, the gun/gas/wire feed tubes were all individual and barely wrapped. Aside from the fact that the wire feed mechanism was plastic and operated horribly.... the wire feed tube didnt stay in place, the filler wire would push the tube forward and then the wire had nothing to guide it, then it would bend and u had to re feed the whole thing....EVERY TIME....couldnt get it weld for more than 3 seconds, no valves for the gas bottle, terrible hose, no cart. I advise anyone that is going to get a MIG to get a Lincoln electric one instead, 120$ more and it works perfectly the first time, has its own cart , gas regulators and everything.

Ya, I would never buy one of those welders. The presure blasters seems to be pretty good though. I'll be picking up a Hobart or a Lincoln soon.

I too have one of the 4o# units. It took me awhile to get to flow my "black beauty" thru it. I seems you need to feather the valve on the bottom of the tank to control the amount of media coming out to match the air volume, just FYI....

i think u guys spent too much, i got a craftsman sandblaster ( gun , hose, and tank) for like 25 bucks, just hook it to compressor and fill with sand, it worked perfectly, save for refilling sand because i bought a small tank.... but i did my whole chevelle frame in pretty quick time

These are pressure sandblasters. I have never seen a pressurized version for $25. They are much different than the siphon models.
