I can't take it anymore.... If I pull up on my emergency brake the light won't flash. But as soon as a hair from my leg brushes against it it goes back to flashing. Usually I ignore it since it sits behind my tach. But I'm trying to fix all the electrical problems this ones minor but annoying.

What year car?
ebrake lights don't flash, they are either on or off
No chevelle that I know of do you pull on the ebrake, it is a pedal you push.
What tach? Factory or aftermarket?

There's a plunger switch on the ebrake pedal assy you should check the connection and operation on. Pretty simple to see and mess with. If that's not it, your bulb behind the dash may be crusty and not connecting very well. You didn't say what year, but those little dash light bulbs with the dual tiny wires and their sockets can corrode up pretty easy and not work right.

Sounds like the E-brake switch at the pedal is at the edge of travel. Vibration of the pedal is "tickling" it just into contact, making the lamp flicker.

Don't know if there's any adjustment for the switch, but a slight bend on the mounting tab, or sticking one of those felt/rubber "no scratch" knick-knack pads on the pedal arm where the switch plunger contacts might fix it.

Sounds like the pedal is not comig all the way back up if lifting it with your toe makes the light go out.
