I know this is subject has been beat to death, and i have read the other posts and i still have some problems. I have a 70 El Camino, I took the malibu dash out, installed a 71 or 2 tach and guage cluster (white letters) and have a 70 or 71 idiot light harness. I moved all the wires at the circuit board connector hooked the tach wire to the tach term and the HEI dist. and changed the sending unit for the temp guage. only thing I haven't done yet is amp wires. I have dash lights, park, turn and tailights. No headlights, no indicator light for turn signal or high beam, no brake light or oil light. Gas guage reads about 3/4 not sure if it works or not, malibi guage says about 1/2 now. temp guage jumps as i crank, then goes to 100 when it starts, and continues to climb as is runs till it pegs out. wipers don't work,have fire and ground to the switch, tach does not work have fire in wire to it . it is a new tach and guage printed curcuit. seems grounds are all connected. Don't know what else to do. HELP???
