ttt what gage is factory sheet metal on our chevelles'? Thanks ,john

I use 22 gauge for repairs, it is pretty close.

I believe it is about 20, maybe even as thick as 18.

To give you an idea I checked a few cars at work one day. The quarters on a 2003 Lexus LS430 were 18. The quarters on a Honda Accord where 23.

Thanks for the replys guys,I ended up useing 18 gauge to fix my rear window frame ,it worked perfect.. :cool: .......John
