I acquired some ford taurus fans but they have three prongs.... Are 2 neg and 1 pos or is there a ground in there. - don't have a problem with the fans running non stop. But I do have a problem with them running when I'm trying to crank the car. Where abouts on the main fuse box would I attach this to? Thanks for the help

Most likely you have a 2 speed fan which means one terminal is ground and the 2 others are the different speeds. As far as the wiring you should run 2 relays, 1 for each speed. I believe I hooked mine up to the ACC terminal in the fuse panel. I originally had them hooked to a different terminal and could not crank the car up with the fans on.

Since there 2 speed could I just hook them up as a 1 speed and for go the slower speed? Just use two of the three prongs? Thanks again

you could do that, but why not wire up the high speed as well. I have a taurus fan installed in my 68. The low speed is controlled by a universal fan controller that turns on at a certain temp. The high speed is manually controlled. I have these hooked up to a SPDT switch (ON-OFF-ON) http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/12/web/252000-252999/252044_21_full.jpg

Thanks for the diagram but theres no way that these fans pull 75 amps... or is that combined becuse thats quite hefty.

when i was wiring it up too i thought 75amps was a lot too, but a couple of people told me to use it. I'd rather be over kill that frying relays all the time. Thehigh speed may not pull 75 amps at operating speed, but when they first start spining, the amperage will spike pretty high

Went to this car show down the road from my house and there was some pretty awesome cars. But out of all the ones I saw running electric fans they were running those cheap autozone fans.... I have an alumitech rad.... And had 2500 cfm fans I still run hot what else can I do.....

But on to what I wanted to ask.... I've figured out how I'm gonna wire the taurus fans but have a question about this fuse.... 75 amps per or wire them together with a 75? Thanks again
