Ok so my stock crank/rod(arp bolts) 406 didnt make it through the summer. Not exactly sure on the culprit yet as its not totally apart but I lost oil pressure(<5psi at idle) and found metal flakes all over the oil drain plug magnet. I have all the lifters out and was wondering if I should take them all apart and clean them out??? I'm thinking yes but if there was a solid reason not to I'd love to skip cleaning out 16 lifters.

Here's a pic... well just because I like pics :)

For the $50 a new set of lifters cost, I would scrap the lifters. Even if you disassembled them, they may never be right. Metal in the oil...

I would very carefully inspect the cam too, cams are cheap relative to re-doing it all over again because the cam was damaged too...
