Are these quarters made to go over the existing quarters like a skin or are they for patching by removing the rusted metal? I'am thinking most people cut out old metal but wondering if anyone like Por 15's old metal and then covers it with new quarter? I have cut out old metal in the past but the new quarters sure fit nice over the top of old. thanks for any input.

Cut the old one and weld in the new one.

yea, called Goodmark and thats what they said. Was just curious as to why they even call them skins and why they don't make them out of heavyer metal. thanks for the input.
