Hi,

I have a pair of NOS rear bumper guards, p/n 985761. I was told that they will fit 64 & 65 Chevelles. I am quite sure that the bumpers are different but it is still possible that the guards are the same. Can anyone look that number up for me or tell me either way and what year they go with? I have checked everywhere that I can think of, including the the Chevy dealer, and the number can't be found.

I can't verify the numbers, but physically the two bumper cross-section profiles are identical. The only difference in the bumper is the 65 has openings for the reverse back-up lights. These are not in the area where the bumper guards mount. The guards will work for either year.
