Hi guys, I have been getting a lot of hits and new members from this site.

1st - thank you very much!!!

2nd - I could not find a link to my site here, so I'm not sure who spread the word, but thanks again!

Lastly - I hope those who have joined the site like the combinations they saw. We have everything from 12 sec street cruisers to a door slammer that runs 7.80's @ 172 mph with a small block chevy.

Thanks Again!!!!

Is there a way to view the combos without registering?

Is there a way to view the combos without registering?

Actually, no. That's kind of a long story, it's totally explained in the "Site Updates" section - which visitors can read, it's the "Must Register" thread.

Sorry... this creates the need to register if you want to view the combinations, but it only takes a couple of minutes to do so. Some of the hard core members - and we have a bunch, do not like any bs when they use the site, it's just fast car stuff. Also, I could not afford to fund it if it were open to everyone, I do this strictly to visit with and help my fellow racers.

I hope you like the site if you decide to register! Thus far, every member loves it and I get positive pm's every day reflecting that. Of course, it's free to everyone except me!!!!

Thanks Again!

You still haven't given a reason to register though, you explain that you don't want any b.s. but by not allowing guests to post that is accomplished. You don't charge for membership so there is no incentive for you for us to register other than an increase in membership numbers.

I know from in the past that its nice to force registration because it looks goo to have a lot of members and having it required kinda forces you, but in reality the only person getting screwed is the visitor and there is no incentive to join because we don't know what we are getting.

This is from years of experience with forums/coding/website creation etc. so I know how both sides think :)

IMO open up atleast one forum for guests just to get a taste of what they will get upon registering.

I signed up just to have a look-see at what he's using our site to advertise for. The server never sent me back the registration email.

I still don't think he's competing or overlapping us so I left his post up. Ordinarily posts advertising other sites have a real short life here. :)

I explan the entire reason you have to register in the "Site Updates" section, thread, "Need to register". Please give that a look.

AND - you can access several sections of the site without registering, they're labeled.

In short, it's a small site and we hope to only attract two main groups of people on it,
1) guys/gals who have a nice engine combination to share
2) guys/gals who need help with a combination
Thus far this goal has been met with outstanding success!!!!!!!!!!! The site is 100% positive helping each other, no negative threads are attacking members, just car guys trying to help and learn from each other. You have been around, so you know creating this environment on the web is a challenge. Therfore, my take is it's good the way it is, if we loose a lot of members, that's okay. I pay for this out of my own pocket, so keeping the general traffic down is a good thing too - actually, it's a must because I can not afford it! I do not own any type of car company, so there is no hidden benefit in this for me. That said, I could not be more proud of the members we have - they're awesome!!! If you join, I'm sure you will agree! Hope this helps.

Thank You for the feedback!

Also, on a more positive note, there are some 1st class car guys here that have joined my site, many before I ever made a single post or knew of this site. Thanks for that, I'm glad you guys enjoy the site and very happy to have you!!!
