I have installed a factory GM comfort grip wheel and horn kit on my 69 and my horns won't work. I have tested the horns and they are loud and strong. Is there a trick to getting this set-up to work properly? Is there a special way these wheels and horn kits have to be installed? I have a tilt column, but the horns worked previously with an old cheap aftermarket wheel. I also changed my turning signal cam when I had the old wheel off. Would this interfere with it in any way? The relay is new. Any suggestions?

Yes, there are kits that install into steering column/wheel for proper horn operation. Any chevelle parts supplier will carry it .. NPD lists it as a Horn Mounting kit ... C-2800-50B for 69, standard type steering wheel ... $22.50 in the 2004 catalog ..I am too lzay to go to garage to find 2005 catalog ...

Yeah that works in some instances, but I don't think the guy putting my inspection sticker in the window would like it too much.:beers: I ended up checking over everything and it seems to be my horn relay is bad. The local Carquest doesn't even list one in their parts catalog in my town. Can you believe that.
