I'm in the process of tubbing my '65. I used aluminun wheel tubs. My question is: How would you tie the aluminum tubs (wrappers)to the inner steel quarters?The fit is tight and clean. The directions are to use a silicone caulking or sealer. Not sure I trust this method to hold, or look neat. Any suggestions?

3m makes pannel bonding material, comes in a caulk gun tube, this is what body shops use to bond plastic and fiberglass quarterpannels and other stuff. this stuff gets so hard when it cures that you can actually drill and tap it (not that you need to, but this stuff is seriously strong)

we used it to fill small gaps in floor pans on my 67, it worked great.
