Can anyone tell me the part number for the 1970 Chevelle 396/350HP Quadrajet?

7040204 - with auto. trans.
7040205 - manual trans.
These are also the correct carbs for the LS-5 454 engine.

You might want to check ebay also as I have seen a couple of the 7040205's on there in the past. The 205's are actually more common from what I have seen than the 204's.

If ebaying you need to read the FULL description. I just looked at what was listed as a 1970 396 350hp carb but in the description, it stated it was a RESTAMP of a 350 300hp carb. Goes to the old adage Buyer Beware!

Thanks I'll keep an eye out on ebay and check some of the sites. What is a fair price to pay for a rebuilt 7040205? I found one for about $300 ($95 charge without a core).

I think I paid about 425 for one off of ebay that was supposedly "rebuilt". After a month of having it on my elky, it started dumping raw fuel into the motor. So much for the rebuild.
