Hi, I need a recommendation for a small block 383-blower setup. I would like to covert from a solid flat tappet to a solid roller for the first time. I plan on limited street usage, about 2000 miles a year max with weekend racing. I would love to have a cam that would last longer than a set of tires, so avoiding massive lift seams to be the key. I have afr 195’s 100% cnc heads, 8:1 static comp with 9psi of boost from a 6-71 roots, 2500 rpm stall behind a 2004r, 3.42:1 rear gears. I have not selected a rocker arm ratio yet, and would also need a recommended valve spring. I do believe that I need a small base circle. The lifters would most likely be Isky redzone. If there is any other info or advice for this conversion it would be greatly appreciated. I just herd of the voodoo line solid rollers in another post, I don’t need it for a month or two if that is the way to go.
Thanks
Tom

How much lift are you looking for? I have both .556" and .626" lift rollers that have gone over 2000 miles in 24 hours, so either one works for me. If you want less than 254° at .050, we eliminate the .626" family. I also have a .582" family that have years of street use(individual cams, of course).
I have:
242/249 .556/.556
249/259 " "
254/264 " "
243/251 .582/.582
251/262 " "
254/262 " "
254/264 .626/.626
260/268 " "
All of these can be put on 112 or 114 LSAs for use in a blown engine.
They are all years-of-street-driving reliable, and have been used as such for about 20 years.
Let me know what is of interest. All cams will be billet cams with EverWear distributor gears......

I am split between the 243/251 .582/.582 or the 242/249 .556/.556. They are both pretty close. I am going to have tons of torque so the 243/251 may be a little easer on the wheel spin. ??? What rocker ratio are those lifts #’s at, and what rocker ratio do you recommend. The last solid flat tappet cam I had was ground on a 114 and worked great. Wouldn’t the 112 bleed off more intake charge with than the 114, I see the BDS cams are ground on a 110, but everything that I read suggests the tighter the better.
