What is the alignment of vinyl top seam on a 69 SS 396 Chevelle. Does the rear seam (below rear window) line up with the seam on the top of the car or does it line up with the trunk lid? Wanting to restore car back to its original conditon when built.

Also looking for vinyl top in original parchment color. Any ideas on where to find? Have looked at number of websites unable to find.

On the part of the top between the window and the trunk lid.The outside edge of the
seam lines up with the outside of the trunk lid.

Nice pic of seam at back glass. Do you have a pic of where the seam goes on the front windsheld post?

It's not a parchment vinyl top but a Dover White painted top over Glacier Blue ... if you're looking for a contrast idea.

Your 68 looked great!

Wow, I'm glad someone posted this. I had someone point out to me that mine (Lined up with trunk like the pic above) in not correct. Since then, I have made it a point to look at all 69 VT cars. I see a lot of them lined up with the seam on the roof.
