I am restoring my 72 Chevelle SS 350 Small Block with Air. I ordered a Heater Control Valve as a previous owner put a cutoff from a hardware store in the supply side heater hose. The new Control Valve came from NPD but it is the type that screws into the block and then connects to the hose instead of the type that mounts on the passenger side inner fender in line with the heater hose. Which one is correct for a 72 Chevelle?

My 71 350 A/C car has the type that screws into the manifold.
Not sure if that helps but at least you got a bump!

mine 72 does not have a heater valve nor does the service manual show one in the AC circuit.

My 72 A/C Elky does not have one, nor does my 72 non-A/C Chevelle.
