This is the car some of you heard that I might be getting soon. Well I picked it up last thursday after sitting in a garage covered in crap and dust since 1991. Spent all day saturday cleaning it and actually brought it to a local show on sunday and won a plaque. It still has the original 307 with a 350 trans 273-10 bolt. very clean and original car although the body was redone in the late 80's. The guy I bought the car from had the car since the late 70's and I am the 3rd owner. It came with all the dealer paperwork and POP.Let me know what you guys think..

I hope the link above works. the showroom would only allow 1 photo out of 4 to be uploaded.

Oooh nice car. Its one of those rare, hard to find 1970 non-SS cars I've heard about.

As much as I want to clone it I Can't do it to that car. I have some chrome ralley's and radial TA's on order for it. Front Disc brakes and dual exhaust and thats probably it for now. Would love to do a SS hood with the stripes but not sure at this time but definetely need some other wheels and tires for now. Those factory style bias plys should be against the law.

I'd want to see the paperwork first, bet it's a Malibu clone! Probably used to be an LS6.

Nice car, hope you keep it as a Malibu. I may have an SS but there is nothing wrong with a nice looking Malibu and you have one there.

Thanks, It needs a little work but sure gets alot of looks the way it is. I actually had to add some coil spring spacers because the bumper was only 6 inches from the ground. Time for some rear springs with some airbags.

The top is white and will need to be replaced soon. The top will always be down for cruisin' so I'm in no hurry.

That is beautiful. As the owner of a 70 SS (Still trying to find out if its a clone) keep it a malibu. It has a more classy look to it. And it wont look like all the other chevelles in town. The red is sweet!

$10,000, I hope I didn't pay too much. It is a real nice car.

VERY nice, but I want to see the before pictures for some reference to how hard you had to work to get it to look that nice. Sounds like a nice price too. If you are happy with the price, then I guess it's not too much.

Good luck with it.

What I have found out is that you can buy a project convertible for 6-7,000 that still needs thousands thrown at it, Or you can spend 10-12,000 and get a nice driver.I am happy with the car so far but it needs some definate updating.

Rob, 10K with straight metal, no bodywork needed (apparently-it looks GREAT!), man that's a steal!!! Nice find!!
