: Anyone ever touch up POR-15?

I'm sure people out there that have used POR-15 have scratched or dinged the paint while assembling the pieces. Anyone have any advice for touching up those parts? Is it just as simple as scuffing, cleaning, and painting?

Thanks.

Probably not the best forum for this question but if it's just a scratch or ding, I simply fill in the scratch or ding with POR15 and an art brush.

The scratches are a little more extensive and I'd like to put on another coat.

Suggestions?

If the POR has been on more than 24 hours, which I assume it has, you'll have to scuff the entire surface with a red scotch brite. The areas with the scratches will need to be sanded as deep as the scratch, I would assume to bare metal, because the POR won't fill anything. After sanding and scuffing wipe down a few times with a damp cloth, water only, then paint. Have never tried to blend it. I've always just gone with a complete second coat.
