That looks nice. Do you have lift coils in the rear? Also, have you looked at the heavy chevy paint scheme? I would keep it how it is but if you want some graphics, those look nice.

Nice car, if the BM scheme is what you want; then who cares about anybody elses opinion. I killed myself making my 69 as correct as humanly possible, and the next day a drunk totalled it. good luck. Jason

yes i have the helper springs but im gonna change to wagon springs and airbags (i think) I know of a place in chicago that makes the bolt on fiberglass L-88 hoods and i always liked the motion scheme but im not trying to clone one no ss stuff goin on it i just want somethin different than the cowl hood ss stripe thing that has been way over done around here!! thanx for all the replies!! I Know It's you car but I would leave it just the way it is. A malibu is going to be more rare than a clone pretty soon. I just think the Baldwin scheme is very ugly (just my opinion). I prefer the stripes myself. It's to bad that one SS option added to a car and people think,and say It's a clone. I would love to do stripes and a ss hood on my 70 vert but I think I will leave it as a malibu as so should you. Again just my .02.

Maybe we could start a un-cloned chevelle club.

If you want to keep them guessing, put the heavy chevy stripes on it. ;)

I struggled with the same issue when I was restoring my Malibu, that being, I didn't want to add the SS stripes if that could be interpreted as cloning an SS, only to find out to my relief, that the SS stripes were an option on Malibu's, not only SS's. Everyone has the SS stripes because they look great, it's that simple.

I almost didn't put the SS stripes on my 72 that came with them, because so many people put them on everything else.

I think the Motion stripes would look cool, but might draw too much attention.

The Heavy Chevy stripes is a very cool idea largely because factory stripes rarely look stupid, and will look like they belong there.

Bottom line its your car, and you should make yourself happy,
but I'd vote for the Heavy Chevy stripes.
Thought about them on my 72, but it is an SS, so I went that way, and I'm glad I did.

How big are your rear tires!? And i like that green, it's nice.

n-50 15`s on back with 10 inch rim and (H) i think 70 -15`s on front 8 inch rims, cragar sst wheels thanks for the replies!! havent made up my mind yet i either way i am definetly goin with theL-88 fiber hood !! everything on the streets has cowl hoods on them now even ford crap!!!!!
