When I purchased my '66 ragtop many years ago, all the "power" components for the top were in a box in the trunk....
I got them out over the weekend, and started "fab'ing" up some test hoses to see if the motor or cylinders are any good.....
Then I noticed that the pins.. or bolts... or whatever is supposed to mount the cylinders to the frame are missing. I havent been able to find any thing in any of my catalogs....
Can anyone tell me how these should mount to the top frame??
Thanks!

Allengator...
I have seen these "bolts" available used (maybe try Hydro-Electric out of Punta Gorda Florida). I seem to recall them have some pieces...
Its been a while, but I think regular bolts can be made to fit. There are two upper bolts that thread into the top frame, and into the upper holes on the cylinders (but they don't thread into the cylinders, just sit in the holes with nylon bushings)...
Then there is just the two larger bolts that attach the shaft ofthe ram to the top linkage, again with nylon bushings. I found some bushings from the local hardware store that might work, but then I bought the correct ones from Hydro-Electric...
BTW, I hope your current top frame is for a power top... The top frames are different for power and manual tops, so you can't just add the cylinders to convert yours to power. The linkages ARE different (I have had both side by side), and won't work properly (even though the rams will bolt up the same)...

Thanks for the info! I will check Hydro-Electric out!
I know my car originally had a power top as the wiring and switch, ect... are still there....
I have no reason to believe the top frame was replaced....
The guy I bought the car from said he got the car out of storage and the hoses had rotted away so he pulled that stuff out..... (and I found rotted hose pieces still in the trunk area!)
But you know how that goes!
Is there any way you know of to tell for sure?
Thanks again!

1966 is on target. I believe that you are referring to the 3 -4 black "grommets." Hydo elec in florida sells them for a $1 a piece. They have always been fair and straight with me.
Application: Apply some soapy water on them. Next, the arrow side down can be hand popped in. Finally, gently with a screw driver bring the second rubber ring through.
Bolts: By design, the top motor was made with the rubber grommets for vibration reasons. Without the rubber, the motor would have a shorter life. I would never use bolts on the motor to mount it.
Good luck
