I purchased a set of seat belts from a guy on Ebay. They apeared to be in decent shape while opening them. Then I got to one of the front seat retractors and started to open the news paper he had them packaged in and bam it exploded. The coil spring shot out of it and gave me a small cut on the chin smaller then a shaving cut but it did bleed.

I was wondering if there is a trick to repacking the spring or if I should try taking it to a clock repair shop? I have contacted the seller and he is trying to find me a replacement.
