: National Parts Depot saves the day!

I wanted to share a great experience I had with National Parts Depot (Florida depot).
After it was known that an undisclosed package shipper lost my order in transit,
NPD shipped a complete new order next day air to me at no additional cost.
While it was not their fault my parcel was lost, they made sure I received my order in time to attend an event I had planned.
To me, that speaks volumes about integrity and commitment to quality service.
I thank Molly from NPD for going the extra mile to please a customer.

Thanks again National Parts Depot!!

Sincerely, Jim

I've used NPD in, Livonia, MI, several times and have always had great service. I think they understand our hobby and the amount of restoration resources out there. "If you don't please me, somebody else sure will".

Been using them since 1996 MANY times and have never had any issues with them. I use the North Carolina warehouse and they've always been very good...and FAST!

I'm pretty happy with the Charlotte guys. If its in stock and I order before noon, I have the item the next day.

Don't go there.

I've used NPD almost excusively because they're 2 miles from where I work. I've taken stuff back that I was not satisfied with and they had no problem with that. Don't know about their shipping costs because I don't need it but their service has been great.

I have had very good luck with NPD Florida depot also, but i still like the swap meet hunt for original used parts better.

NPD treated me right when I ordered a pair of reproduction consoles (distributed through OPGI, but sold by everyone) had a defective rear panel. Replacement panel shipped FAST and FREE.

I'm very pleased with NPD, but OPGI still stinks.

I also have to give them a big A+ they were fast and the best price, I had to return a item it was defective, I sent it back and was expecting another one in return, I did not recieve it and called and they had just refunded my money to my charge card no questions asked. This was the Ventura Calif. store where I could go pu the part with a 60-70 mile one way drive if necessary. good company Ed and they have parts for all my old vehicles, fords included.

We got el Camino floor pan sections from NPD Michigan. The guy on the phone even checked with another guy to make sure that I was getting the right parts. I got the right stuff the first time. From my experience they are first rate.

Another vote for NPD from CA too. They are the first ones I call.

I only use them if I have to ever since they goofed my sheet metal order(dented quarter panel, wrong door skin, and then damaged door skin). Also the rear bumper I got from them already looks like..., its only been on the car 3yrs.

Me too. Reasonable shipping costs compared to *** for example.

Oh, I'm there!

Just callin' em as I see em, trying to let some first hand experience help someone else out.

NPD has been great, they spent a lot of time with me on the phone one day regarding a transmission mount question I had. A lot of time for a ten dollar part, and they ultimately helped me solve my problem. They ship quick, and pricing is reasonable.

Some other places are just worried about you placing the order and getting you off the phone.

Had great service in the Florida Depot. They were real friendly and I never got the feeling that I needed to hurry and just buy my stuff and get out of there. I was there for probably 2 hours going over stuff. Also called them the other day to see if they had a chassis manual for my 66. The guy said yes but asked what exactly I was wanting it for. I told him and he went and looked through all the books they had on my car and it turned out none of the books was what I needed after all. He called me back and said he was sorry for not being able to help out. That's some pretty good service. You don't hardly expect that anymore. It'll keep me coming back for all my stuff.

Don't you just love that...

"Hi, do you have this and that for a -69 Chevelle?"

"Yes, can I take your order please?"

"Well, which brand do you carry?"

"Dunno, can I take your order please?"

"But I don't know if I want to order it if I don't know what brand I get"

"It should be on our web site. Can I take your order please, or do you want to check it first?"

"Well, I'm actually trying to check it with you..."

Well call them as you choose. It was just a friendly reminder that vendor bashing is not allowed.

I've had nothing but EXCELLENT service from NPD. They've gone out of their way to save me $$ on shipping, and to insure I have the correct parts. When I call an order in, I always ask for the same guy in the NC store. He makes sure the parts are in stock before he commits to shipping them and has even put a hold on an inventory item for 3 or 4 days until I call back with the answer to HIS question.

BTW - they are evaluated on their individual sales numbers so I try to use the same person each time and he takes GOOD care of me. If you didn't know this, it's another testament to their customer service for not making it a point to you.

NPD gets the first shot at my business on my project.

Another note: I'm told they were at Chevellabration. My guy at the NPD store said it WAS a company policy not to do shows (that's why they're never at Carlysle). He said they were really impressed with Chuck and the people at that show and would be back, even on their own time.

I always wondered why they didn't show up at Carlisle. I have purchased from NPD several times with good luck, but if I'm ding body panels and it is early spring or late fall I get them at Carlisle to save the shipping. I did, however get both front fenders for my 72 from NPD, the shipping wasn't to awful bad as I remember, 1/4 the cost of the fenders maybe.
