Can anyone tell me if the 1965 SS had the antenna on the front from some of the factory locations, or were they all on the rear? Thanks M.L.

The majority of '65 Chevelles had a front mounted antenna on the right fender. Hopefully someone who has a '65 can give you an exact location. The rear antenna was an option that could be ordered in lieu of a front unit.

I don't have the exact dimensions, but if it had a front antenna, the hole has to be drilled dead center in the middle of the already existing hole in the bracing under the top right rear-most edge of the front passenger side fender. The assembly manual is the best source for the exact dimensions and for the correct size of the hole. Both the front and rear dimensions are shown in the assembly manual.
