We were stripped a 69 El Camino and did not plan on re-using any of the original trim and
molding pieces. The problem is we have not found a source for the aluminum molding
pieces that go around the window frame on the top part of the door.
Does any one know of a supplier making these?

The window trim is still around though I've heard it doesn't fit as well as the original parts. As far as the door bright trim, nobody makes that stuff..I've been looking for over 10 years for new door trim for my 72 El Camino. The old stuff can be polished to look new again.

Tom,
Who makes the trim? I haven't been able to find anyone that does.

The pieces around the top and sides of the windshield may still be available from the General. The wide strip along the bottom of the windshield is long gone, you'll need one from a donor car. I'm pretty sure that these pieces are the same on Skylarks, Cutlasses, LeMans, comparable types cars.

We're not looking for the pieces around the windshield. We're looking for the trim pieces that are on the door. The ones that go around the roll up window on the door. Are we talking about the same parts?

A year or so ago, 2 different suppliers told me that the door frame trim would be available "soon". I last called about it in the fall, still not available from anyone,, near as I can tell. Recently I got my old trim down from the attic. I'm looking for someone to refresh it now..
