Whenever you get sheet metal back from the plastic blaster you need to sand it with 80grit on a D/A before you put on anything then CLEAN it with wax and grease. I like to etch it and then shoot it wit h Evercoat bed liner, bit if it is perfect and it is going to be a trailer/show queen the show guys paint it, looks great till the first rock chip!

We had dad's cab plastic blasted this summer and on my next body off I will have the car dipped instead, we have been blowing plastic out of cracks for 6 months as we did the welding work! Plus every time we take off a body pannel you find there is still tons of rust inside the inner cavities.

I don't think bead blasting removes any rust?

I think there are some polymer beads that will remove rust, if not glass will for sure. Glass is alot easier on metal then sand, but can still warp panels if done incorectly.
