Does anyone know the type/shade of paint for the brake/fuel line clips on a 1970 chevelle and where to get it at?

I believe Fine Lines has the correct colored fuel and brake line clips. That is where I got mine.

I'm going through the same process on my 70. The brake line clips are blue and the fuel line clips are unpainted. My 70 is an LS5 so my fuel lines have a main line and return line so it takes the double fuel line clip. I picked them up at Inline Tube or The Rightstuff has a clip package, but the clip package was missing the 2 clips that go on the rear end for the 2 axle brake lines. These I found at Inline Tube also.

(from my response to you on sYc)
Rob, here is what I have. These do not seem to be 100% correct all the time. Of all the clips that I have, there were 3 different shades of blue, two of green and the colors did not always match the size. I think suppliers may have had a lot to do with the inconsistancies. All my clips are from 1970 Chevelles and these are the most common colors I came up with per size.

3/16" olive drab (brake lines)
3/16" blue (fuel lines)
1/4" Yellow cadmium
3/8" blue used on either
These are the solid end type clamps.
The double strapped end clamps that I have are both blue and green. Then there are the double line clamps. I have some of these in all three colors.

The rear steel clamps for the fuel and brake lines have for the most part been grey phosphate though I have also seen some that are black. These are the two clamps mounted to the rear of ear side of the frame before the rear crossmember. Hopefully this helps and does not confuse you more.

You can simpy use the modeling paint available at hobby stores. I have used their olive drab green and it is dead on. I found a semi-transparent blue spray paint at a craft store that was dead on to (some) of the blues and used modeling paint on the others. Yellow cad was plated. Not sure if this was not the info you were looking for or not.

Rick, what you mentioned is exactly what I have on my el camino. I was lucky enough to find the original plating / color when I removed the brake and fuel lines and opened the clamps up to remove the and noticed the original color on the inside of the clamp.

Thanks again guys, I was just wondering if it would be easier to get the kit from Inline , or repaint/plate my original clips, I know that I can get the green pretty easy, but the with the blue I dont have a visual reference.I do get confused with the different types of clips, correct me if I'm wrong, but the solid end clips are used on the brake line that runs from the driver to the passenger side? I am really confused o the difference between the double strapped versus the double line clips.I'm guessing that the double clips are used on cars with the return fuel line?????

:) If you get a catalog from Fine Lines, they have pictures at the back of the book as to what the clips look like.
