Well I got my garage semi finished....enough to work in. And whats the first thing I do? Tear the car apart. Living in New England the worst time to gut your cruiser is in the middle of summer. But thats the fun part to me. I had to step on it though....There were way too many nice days to see that thing in peices in my garage!!! With my buddy swinging over to help in his 68 camaro convert....jealosy set in and I busted my but to finish the interior, bumpers and detail the paint. Here are some pics....

How did you detail the paint and are they the same bumpers?

For the paint: A little wet sand and a lot of buffing. To make a 4.5 paintjob look more like an 8. Now instead of a 20 footer it's like a 5 footer
No those are repro bumpers. I still have the originals but they need some help.
The rear has the original hole for ss emblem so i kept it.

They say they only made a little over 4000 72 converts but i have seen a TON!

That is wierd. I'm still impressed when I see ANY chevelle around town let alone the same car. I wonder how many of the over 4000 are still on the road.

I don't know....But I have been asking about the regisrty they have on this site and what kind of info they have. No responses yet. I bet it would be really interesting!
