I'm wondering what Chevelle Attendence is going to be like at Good Guys next weekend at the Texas Motor Speedway.

I went to the Goodguys Nationals in Columbus, Oh. I took my El Camino. There was a good number of Chevelles there. It was mostly dominated by street rods though. I would suggest going, you will have alot of fun. They put on a class act.

Doug, share some details with us. This is the first I've heard of it.

This is the show that used to be at Southfork in the Dallas area. About 3 years ago they moved it to the Texas Motor Speedway. It's open to 72 and older vehicles. One of the neat parts is that Sat. afternoon they take you out on the speedway and let you do two laps. Even with a pace car traveling at 85 you can allways drop back a little and play catch up.
Friday the first is registration and Sat & Sun the 2nd and 3rd are the show. There's allways pretty good attendence and the corral has usually got some neat cars for sale and lots of parts.

I was there from about 10:30 this morning till about 4:00 pm. It was a good show, although I was a little disappointed at the light turnout by the Chevelles. Camaros and tri-fives seemed to be well represented. Doug, I was looking for you but I didn't see any Chevelles with your name on them.

Randy,
I'm sorry I missed you. I didn't hang out at the Classic Chevy Corral which is I think where you were looking. I was out there til after 6:00 and left after I got my turns around the track. I have a tendency to roam around and it's neat to be able to cruise the grounds a bit. I'll be back out there tomorrow although I probably won't go out til around noon. By the way my ride is a Silver 69 El Camino. Hope to meet up with you some time.
Doug
