Guys,

I hope someone can help.I washed my black 99 z28 and now it has water spots that don't seem to was off.I use meguires car was soap.Even the windows have spots but they come off with window cleaner.If I try and wash off the spots with another car soap you can still see the outline of the spots.What can I do to clean it up that isn't abrasive enough to put swirls in the paint.By the way this car has never been driven in the rain and has always been garaged.

My guess is that you have minerals in your water. My water's so bad that if I leave it on the windshield, that spots all up too. Did you dry the car with a Chamois(sp?). I've found that makes a huge difference.

As for getting out the spots, a light compounding should do it.

I get this with my car. It seems to go away with time, but I use Meguiar's two step paint cleaner and then polish and that seems to help.

You guys have got to get some "Correction CLay". I have taken water spots like that off both black paint and glass with amazing results.
