EFI tank that works

SO I have the aeromotive tank thats from tanks inc. I cant do anything with it under half a tank. So whats a tank that actually works with efi that will go around corners and be able to launch at the drag strip. I cant even accelerate hard on the street with street tires right now. Ive read alot about the ricks efi tank but I dont know which one or how much they are.

Re: EFI tank that works

I've never heard of anyone having problems with the Tanks Inc. setup. Almost sounds like the sump pan was missing, but I'm sure that you looked it over before you put it in. I'd call Aeromotive because something isn't right if it runs fine above 1/2 tank.

You probably have a leak somewhere between the 1/2 tank fuel level and the top of the tank.

Re: EFI tank that works

The aeromotive tank comes assembled and ready to install. Ive been tempted to drop it and remove the pump and check everything over. Im car will run just fine all the way down to almost completely empty if I drive like an old granny.

Re: EFI tank that works

Have two Tanks INC tanks with Aeromotive pump and hangers in two different cars and never ever had a problem with fuel. I auto cross the Chevelle with usually less than 5 gallons in the tank. Whats the rest of your fuel system?

Re: EFI tank that works

I wouldn't touch it until you contacted Aeromotive. The last thing that you need is them telling you that you voided your warranty by removing the pump.

Re: EFI tank that works

Check with rel3rd (Bob)...he has the same and runs the piss out of his car everytime it's out of the garage. If there were a problem with it we would hear about it for sure.

Re: EFI tank that works

Regulator? What are you running and where? What engine are you running? Some specs on it? Which Aeromotive tank did you go with?

Re: EFI tank that works

The regulator is built into the throttle body. Ive had the tank since may 2014. Engine is 454 11:1 comp oval port heads and a healthy roller cam.

Re: EFI tank that works

These setups usually require a corvette filter regulator. This is usually the weakest link. Maybe you have a bad one?
