XFI 2.0 Upgrade

Has anyone upgraded their XFI to the new 2.0 ? One of the improvements mentioned was "self tuning". That's what I'm after. Just would like to know if this feature works good as the other improvements would not help me.

It's $50 for software upgrade only or $100 for a enclose that says 2.0 on it too.

Re: XFI 2.0 Upgrade

There is lots of info on it over at the EFI101 site. Seems to be a very good tool if you are not a great tuner. Here is the thread:

"All I gotta say is the Auto Tune is cool. I tuned the fuel table to a less than 5% correction then ran the Auto Tune and it knocked that down to 0-0.8%. Then we richened up the Target table and ran a dyno pull again and you could watch the O2% correction count down from -12% to less than -3% with an ending average of -2.7% at the end. This isn't going to replace a tuner or at the very least someone who at least knows the basics and uses common sense but it will help things get done quicker.

The new Auto TPS works great too, connect... go WOT and back a couple of times and it calibrates the TPS for you. Awesome. "

Re: XFI 2.0 Upgrade

It works wonders for the hardest part to tune, the cruise area. You just can't really get good logs in that area due to everything changing so much, but this picks through the good and bad and only uses the good. It works fine in WOT and Idle too, but those are always the easiest to tune.

Re: XFI 2.0 Upgrade

If it works as well as Holleys self learning, which I would imagine it is comparable, It would be worth it. Unless you have a real good tune already.

Re: XFI 2.0 Upgrade

I purchased the upgrade. My file was corrupt and was setting codes that I did not have before. Flashed it back to old 1.340 per FAST request and problems went away. Waiting on new file now.

Re: XFI 2.0 Upgrade

We upgraded to 2.0 in our race car. Had to send the box back to FAST twice to get it to work. Learning only works at idle for us. Once the throttle is pressed learning is turned off and won't go back on. A very useful tool is the fixed timing tool. It will help you verify your crank signal degree.
