Chevelle wiring diagrams

I brought up to Greg(TOG) that I bought a full color and easy to read wiring schematic years ago, and he was curious where I bought it. The one I use is 8 1/2" x 11", utilizes both sides for front and rear wiring, fits nicely in one of my assembly/service manuals, is laminated, and is one of the best reference tools I own. I highly recommend it if you do anything with your car's wiring or have any sort of problem with the wiring or lights. This has saved me from many headaches looking at and following the little black lines and lettering in the service manual when adding/changing wiring on my car, and I'm an electrician.
Ok, That's my PSA for today

Re: Chevelle wiring diagrams

When I bought my car someone had installed an HEI ignition....kinda.
Power was coming from multiple sources and the only way to turn the motor off was to flip a switch under the dash.... the key was only used to start it and would not shut off the car.

Through this site someone hooked me up with a printable version of a '66 diagram and a elsewhere online I found a diagram for a '74 Chevy ( I forget which model) so I could see how the HEI was supposed to be wired.

I've refered back to it a few times.
It's only black & white but the wiring color is labeled.

The one you linked is much easier to read.

I have a factory wiring diagram manual - needless to say, it sucks.

The poster would be an awesome reference point and you wouldn't have to hide it anyway. Just put it up on the wall in the garage I may be buying one of those in the near future.

Re: Chevelle wiring diagrams

Reminds me I probably need to buy an assembly manual for the 66. I have to reinstall the heater controls and all the ducting, sounds like quite a chore. ugh.

This 69 Diagram should give you the basic layout and colors for 64 to 72
I'll leave it there for a while
Specific years can be found here, but only in B&W
