Wow, you guys are good to catch this scammer ad. What I can't figure out is how he will sell it without a personal inspection? Will someone pay in advance before picking it up? That would be dumb.

Re: 70 chevelle convt. project

Hey guys; I called this a-hole at (303) 519-1762 and left a message and he actually called me back,so this is an actual person trying to pull a scam. I asked him to tell me a little more about the car. When he finished,i told him that i took those pictures of that car in my own driveway before i sold it. You can guess what happened....he hung up. I called him back,he didn't pick up,of course, but i left a nice voicemail with a few choice 4 letter words letting him know how i felt about what he was doing.

I wish there was a way to get the proper authorities involved in these scams and put these cretins behind bars where they belong. I have seen my old convertible several times in the last year on craigslist all over the country with the same pictures i took and description of the car. how much more evidence is needed in cases like this to prosecute these scumbags? This really pisses me off that this kind of thing is going on.

I have asked this before and never got an answer. What is the scam? If they don't have a car to sell how does the scam work? Nobody is going to pay for a car until they see it. Yes I know EBAY but that's a little different than CL.

Call his local police. I've been ripped off for parts before and most have an internet scam division. They knock on the door and my money was refunded. If not they will arrest him.

That's just it, people DO send money and get nothing in return.
Usually they say something like "it can not be seen in person because ***** but it will be delivered."

I've emailed back and forth with scammers twice just to see what they say AND they do sound convincing...

Don't know how the scam works. But here's a story about a man that was killed for his pickup he was selling.
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/...ticle11907415/

Same here a story of a man stealing a laptop for sale on Craigslist.
http://on.aol.ca/video/okc-police--r...ller-517888292

There's 100's of stories about thief's on Craigslist. Same with Kijiji, which is a subsidiary of eBay.

2011 Chev Silverado
2004 Chev Silverado
1969 Chevelle Malibu 406 SB

Some day I will own a 1967 Chevelle, again.

I'm sure they would be more than happy with multiple deposits.
