Lambrecht Auction results for the 69 Chevelle SS

https://www.proxibid.com/asp/LotDeta...elle-SS-Coupe#

They sold it for $27,000. With the roof caved in and 76,000 miles on it. I think it was one of the few Chevelles being sold. The '58 Cameo sold for $140,000. WOW!

So, the roof "came down because of snow load", really. They can't actually believe that.

It's hard to believe someone would spend that much money on this car which was realistically abandoned in a field.

I assume the buyers figure the provenance is worth the premium, I bet they will be in for a rude surprise.

They still gotta get the people to pay..... Looks like everything is going for insane stupid money. IMO low miles don't mean sh** if it's been sitting in a field for 30-40+ years...

Re: Lambrecht Auction results for the 69 Chevelle SS

Insane.

People get so excited at auctions.

There were pictures of the 69 Chevelle in the field but it had a tree on top of the roof, not snow........it was on the carsinbarns website years ago.

27K......mine is in way way better shape on Kijiji and people are having a hard time coming up with way less than that.......I do need to cut one oak tree down on my lot, if it falls on my car will the sale price double, or will I need to put it in a field for 2 decades?

Re: Lambrecht Auction results for the 69 Chevelle SS

this is exactly how I thought it would go.

I've been buying at auction for 15 years. I've seen stupid money thrown at crap more times than I can remember.

Just showed my car to a prospective buyer, forgot to ask if he wanted the snow load caved in roof option......

A Lambrecht Chevrolet yardstick $600.00? Wow. What am I missing on that 58 truck that went for $140,000 ?

Hi Ken,nice to see you guys at NOCC and PSMCDR.

On the Cameo, I think you are missing about 110K.....oopsy someone is in for a huge case of buyers remorse tomorrow.

Ryan

I am a little jealous, If my money tree had blossomed I probably would have been at the auction.

Re: Lambrecht Auction results for the 69 Chevelle SS

Good catch on the Cars In Barns picture.

At least the Cameo was indoors, the Chevelle has been sitting in a field with no rear window for an unknown number of years. It would be interesting to see how much rust there is to the trunk, floors, and kick up.
