Re: 65 Z16 Convertible For Sale

So, in the end it's a Malibu/Malibu SS convertible with a 396 and a 4-speed. Just mentioning Z16 while describing the car sure isn't worth an additional $140,000+ in my book.

There is a WHOLE lot more than a 396 when talking about a "Z16".

Re: 65 Z16 Convertible For Sale

Looks like someone just built a really nice big block 65 and is asking a extreme premium for it. Overpriced by at least 150K IMO.

Reincarnation???? Does that mean is was original, died, and he brought it back to life again? I don't think so.

Re: 65 Z16 Convertible For Sale

this is absolutely ridiculous. this is about $140k overpriced and that's assuming it's very nice.
he would need at least three of these at barrett jackson's to get the money he wants.

Re: 65 Z16 Convertible For Sale

I think for it to be worth that money it would have to be the original color and completely to original spec.

nothing like cloning a car that might or might not have existed, I want to see if he has the right molding on the rear. As we all know that piece can set you back 10K all by itself.

Re: 65 Z16 Convertible For Sale

That car is way over priced, but there are some People that build cars and sell them based on the work and emotional value that they have in it. I know for a fact that I would not sell my car for 1,000,000 dollares and i am more then sure that most of you have that same kind of value in some of your cars. to bilittle other peoples values and emotions is just plan chicken $h--.

Interesting how a car is for sale that was never made.
