68 Ignition Switch

I have a nice little problem. I bought a 68 Chevelle progect a while ago and it did not come with any keys. While I was taking the dash apart I noticed that the igntion lock cylinder had been tampered with and the chrome cover had been cut off. also the ignition switch had cut and filed down to the point where it is not usable. So i need a new ignition switch. The problem is no one makes them. I went to kragen because there website list a part number for it, but when I bought one, it was not the right at all. Year one has one on thier website but they have the same part # for the camaro switch too which won't work. I called chevy land my local resto shop and they said no one remakes them and that there are only used ones. So my question is, does anybody no where I can get one, new or used???? I wanted to get one by next week, now looks like it is going to take much longer than that. If any one has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks

Yeah, I'm too lazy to do a part look up --gotta leave something for the guy to do.

Re: 68 Ignition Switch

Ebay ,

Do you need the part where the key goes or the part that the key cylinder goes in to, the aluminum part.

Re: 68 Ignition Switch

I found mine at my local NAPA store. I had to go to one store for the ignition switch and another store for the cylinder but other than that there was no trouble. If I find the box I will get the part number. I thinks it is made by Echler. They had cheap ones for $12.xx but the Echler was $47.xx + tax.
