73 Chevelle SS 454 car

I know it's the ugly duckling of Chevelles but I have one and I'm looking for front end rebuild kit bushings xcetera. and what other cars share interchangeable parts. I am looking for a rear bumper and rear bumper mounting brackets and a left rear side marker light.
I read here I believe that the front end suspension parts are interchangeable with an 81 Impala, is this true? as you know or don't know, if you do a search for 73 Chevelle you hardly get anything.
Any help would be appreciated. Plus it's an automatic car

73's are a cool car!

PST sells front end rebuild kits for it if you just want to rebuild your stock suspension...

Thanks slick.
Well I was looking for uppers and lowers but I was coming up with nothing for the 73 so I kind of just blew that off. but if there is an option out there I would be interested in looking at it.

Re: 73 Chevelle SS 454 car

Thanks slick I looked at PST they do have the poly bushings but no uppers or lower control arms.
That's the roadblock I've been running into.

Re: 73 Chevelle SS 454 car

Your 73 shares front suspension with the 70-81 Camaro/Firebird. So you do have some options. One note, the 80-81 C/F used different bushings than the earlier ones (upper a-arms I believe), so avoid those.

I know it's growing on me would not have been my first choice. want to talk about letting something out of your hands that you should have never let go, my very first car was a 69 Super Bee with a 383 big block great car. And stupid me I sold it . my second car which I had both at the same time in High School was a Ford Fairlane 500.
And I regretted selling both of them so yeah that's why I've stored this one for 20 some odd years I was not going to regret getting rid of it.

Those 73s handle nice..

Isn't that the suspension Herb Adams got fired over for NOT putting the engineered defects into the molds?

You don't need to order a kit from anywhere, all the parts to rebuild the front end can be had at any auto parts store. I use NAPA parts on the ones I rebuild.

My brother purchased a 73 Century Gran Sport brand new, with the 350 4bb and 4 speed. Had to special order. I remember that was a very nice handling ride. I would assume it was the same platform as the Chevelle
