Ok.. I know this is a stupid question.. Need to replace brake light on 70 SS Chevelle. I removed the 4 screws that holds the lens in place but nothing is budging... Cluesless.. Am I missing something??

The lens should come right out after the screws are removed. Might want to GENTLY pry on in with a small screw driver (maybe some sore of spatula to spread the pressure out would be even safer). At least on mine, there's nothing else that holds the lenses on.

There's a rubber gasket in the housing, the lens is probably stuck to it. Just keep working at it, it'll come out.

What? 70 models make you take the LENSES off?

Sheesh... on a 66-67 you just open the trunk and pull the socket and bulb out from the back side. Takes 15 seconds to replace a bulb.

I guess 70 models were "improved". :-)

Exactly, no worries about the ground clips bending or breaking causing poor ground and the lights not working
