Question Yenko striped El Camino

I was talking with some guys at a local cruise night sort of thing and one had a Yenko clone chevelle and we were talking about how we liked the stripes on it. The conversation moved to whether or not they would look cool on a 68-72 El Camino. Originally we were talking baout an all black el camino like mine, then adding white yenko stripes.

I'm not going to do it or anything on mine, just curious as to what you guys think.

Even though they were never built back then, would it be cool to do now?

Re: Yenko striped El Camino

Just my opinion, but don't think they would look right on anything other than a '69.

yeah I tend to agree with you, I think they would be best on a 68/69 though

I think it kind of depends. That photoshopped picture doesnt look horrible, especially with the black with the white stripe.

It's been done before. Saw one at a show and have seen pictures posted on different sites of Camios with the Yenko Stripes.

The only problem i see with this is IMO how the back of the stripe goes up, looks like crap. Maybe if it was straight down the body into the tail lights.

Something to think about

Sometimes you need to modify a factory stripe like Foose does.

Re: Yenko striped El Camino

IMO...It would have to go all the way back...past the taillights and continue onto the tailgate

Re: Yenko striped El Camino

I see what you mean, if it went straight back into the tailights, and across the tailgate I think that would look sweet, especially the black w/ white stripe colour combo
